Tell me, do you like watching television programmes? Is it enjoyable for you? Well, I, for one do, and find it enjoyable. It helps me pass the time and lets me relax and rid myself from the stresses and hardships that this world imposes. I will be sharing with you some of my favourite programmes that I have either grown up watching, or picked up more recently.

The first programme I like to watch is the show, ‘The Flash’. It is based off the comic superhero of the same name, and like said name suggests, he moves really fast – in a flash. I personally enjoy this show as I grew up watching it since I was seven years old. Not only that, I have always found The Flash’s character and abilities intriguing. He can move so fast he can stop a bank robbery before breakfast, but ironically is always late for work. I also enjoy this show as it allows me to imagine myself with these abilities. When The Flash runs, everything to him is standing still, it is just him and his thoughts, and I think I would really take advantage of that just to get away from everything.

Moving on, is a show I have only recently picked up and finished. The name of this show is, “Breaking Bad”. It is about a man, Walter White, getting diagnosed with cancer on his fiftieth birthday. Walter White had been working as an extremely overqualified high school chemistry teacher his entire life, and he realised that he has been too passive and not been making his own choices. His brother-in-law, Hank Schrader, was a Durg Enforcement Administration officer who brought Walter to a methamphetamine laboratory bust. Walter saw the amount of money that one could make from manufacturing and selling meth. He then went on a five-season journey over the course of two years, transforming from a kind, sweet, caring and loving man; into an arrogant, prideful, violent, and murderous drug kingpin. I was really fascinated and amazed by the quality of this show. It was about a man discovering that he had it in him all along and that he was not afraid. This show uncovers a powerful and terrifying idea of what good people could do if given the worst circumstance possible. That is why I enjoy this show and I really recommend you to watch it.

The last programme on my list is a show called, ‘Daredevil’. This show is about superheroes as well but unlike The Flash, Daredevil is a lot more grounded and human. The show is about a criminal defense lawyer who was blinded at the age of nine during a tragic accident. He was saving an old man by pushing him out of the way of a truck but was blinded from it. The chemicals in that truck blinded Matthew Murdock, which is Daredevil’s real identity. His other senses however, were heightened and he could see better without his eyes than with them. After that, he started to fight crime in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. This show touches on morality, religion and corruption. It is a very deep show while also being light-hearted at times. Matthew fights crime in both day and night and he does not kill. I enjoy the show as it provides me with the sense that I am not alone when I have been wrong by the world or people in general.

To conclude, these are a few shows I enjoy. I sincerely hope that you give some of them a watch and find as much joy and comfort in them as much as I do. I have learnt many things and values from these shows as well. Some have even taught me how to be a better person.
