What makes an event truly memorable? Do certain experiences leave more everlasting impressions than others? Well, that’s an intriguing question. In this essay, I am going to share three events I have experienced in my life that have captivated me the most.

First and foremost, an event that I am very eager to share happened in Jakarta. It was a concert where many different artists sang songs that convey many different emotions that will either leave you crying or laughing. Well, this experience of mine is not that different from others. Travelling to Jakarta from Singapore was the simpler part, but navigating to the concert was the difficult part. It took my siblings and I at least a few hours figuring out the exact location since it was really far away from the airport. However, as soon as I stepped into the concert, I was speechless because I did not know that the concert venue was going to be as big as a soccer stadium. Luckily, our seats were nearer to the entrance, so we did not have to squeeze ourselves through the crowd. When the concert started, I saw many great artists whom I have never heard of before. They were singing all their greatest hit songs that were really catchy. Although I went to the concert to meet my idol, my most indelible memory is when all the artists sang all of their greatest hit songs into a medley. That gave me the goosebumps. Till now, I can still remember these memories.

The second event that I attended is a wedding. This wedding is special to me because it was youngest uncle’s wedding. I knew the wedding was going to be really amazing because I knew the couple were the perfect one for each other. When I was told of this event, I could not wait as it was going to be held in a banquet hall. Honestly, it was really beautiful. When I got there, I saw my relatives and my cousins but the most unforgettable moment was when we took a picture with my uncle and his bride. Although it left me with a bittersweet feeling every time I look back at the picture, I was mostly happy.

Last but not least, another memorable event is when I went to a football match where my favourite team was playing. As soon as the match details were leaked, I rushed to buy the tickets and invited my friend as well, as he was also a fan. When we reached there, we went into the stadium and sat all the way at the top to see the breathtaking view. Although they lost the match that day, the players made a historical moment that I could not forget. All of them shook hands and hugged one another. This showed me that although you have lost, you should at least have good sportsmanship and respect for one another.

In conclusion, memories are an integral part of life. The events we attend are often our fondest memories. Concerts, sporting events and family gatherings – these opportunities let us create unforgettable memories that will remain with us for a lifetime.
